Increasing strategy execution and employee enablement at De Pooter

De Pooter is a family owned company in The Nederlands with 60 years of experience in recruitment and a wide range of hr services. De Pooter was looking to get more efficiency in the execution of their strategy and getting their people more engaged and aligned with the purpose and ambitions of the company.

Research from Harvard Business Review confirms the fact that more than 40% of companies worldwide never reach their full growth potential because of a lack of efficient strategy execution. The reasons for this are a lack of a clear framework, a lack of alignment and a lack of employee engagement. Issues that De Pooter acknowledged and therefore reached out to Human Reef.

The first step in getting efficiency in strategy execution is creating transparency about who does what in the organization and clarity about the relationship between the organization, the teams and the employees. This avoids a lot of communication issues, confusion and duplication in work that needs to be done.

The second step was the introduction of a streamlined governance process based on meetings for business goal tracking, which made it easier for De Pooter to follow-up on the status and react more quickly when necessary.
In the last step, we've focused on increasing ownership by encouraging the employees to contribute to the company goals, to do the right things and to make the right decisions for the company.
